Abbotsford Centre records busiest fall on record

Venue sees more than 48,000 guests and four sellouts from Sept. 14 to Nov. 3

Abbotsford Centre has recorded its busiest fall on record, according to the general manager of the management company that operates it.

Rick Comeau of Spectra said in a press release that the centre hosted 31 event days in a 50-day stretch from Sept. 14 to Nov. 3.

He said the venue, which opened in 2009, saw more than 48,000 patrons during that time, with four sellout crowds – the Vancouver Canucks vs. Ottawa Senators preseason game; Dallas Smith and Dean Brody; The Wiggles; and for King & Country.

“We were pleased to host so many successful, diverse events during this period and look forward to carrying this success on into 2020,” Comeau said.

Other events that took place during this time included the Fraser Valley Taco Festival, Rock the Rink, Touch a Truck, Casting Crowns, Rascal Flatts, Professional Bull Riding and more.

Upcoming events include The Offspring and Sum 41 (Nov. 30), Old Dominion (Feb. 7), TobyMac (Feb. 27), Mini Pop Kids Live (March 21), and Jeff Dunham (April 22).
