If B.C. is the best place on Earth, could Mission be the best town in B.C.?

Come out to Fraser River Heritage Park Sept. 17 and find out for yourself. What was formally known as Celebration of Community for the past 10 years, will now be known as Celebrate Mission.

The event is about bringing community together, and it starts with a pancake breakfast, but includes a variety of entertainment all day long. Check out the entries for the local baking and creating contest, and witness chefs creating culinary delights on the food stage. There will also be various booths set up by non-profit agencies to share their activities with Missionites, and a host of other activities.

Throughout the day folks will be able to make lanterns under the Mission Association for Community Living tent and these lanterns will be lit during the evening at Illuminaria.

The fun starts at 10 a.m., and closes out with fireworks and Illuminaria starting at dusk at Fraser River Heritage Park. To register your non-profit group, do it in person at the Leisure Centre, or call 604-820-5350. The fee is $5 per table.
