An organization that is working on creating a pain-free future for people in Malawi is fundraising in Chilliwack.

The organizer, Christa Roby, is a former Chilliwack resident who now lives in the African nation and shares her knowledge and skills with communities struggling with mobility issues. Her organization is called Health in Motion, and an upcoming social event will help fund her efforts.

The event runs Sunday, June 2 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Little White Chapel on Adams Road.

There will be locally made food and drinks, a presentation by Roby, a silent auction and African market, as well as live music from Abbotsford’s Tessa.

Space is limited. Tickets are $40 and available through Eventbrite.
