Christine Morrison Elementary raises $10,880

Mission parents and community members who came out had an opportunity to test drive a variety of new Ford vehicles.

Mission’s Ecole Christine Morrison Elementary held a hugely successful Ford Drive 4UR Community and School fundraising event last week.

Parents and community members who came out had an opportunity to test drive a variety of new Ford vehicles, enjoy hotdogs and other items, a bouncy castle and more.

The school’s Parent Advisory Council and the Me To We student group raised $10,880 during the event.

Half of these funds will be kept for the school to assist in paying for a running path around the field. The other half is being donated to help those less fortunate through the Free the Children organization.

Ford has matched these funds and is donating $10,880 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the victims of the fires in Fort McMurray.

The event would not have been possible without the sponsorship of Magnuson Ford.
