Envision employees sprucing up MCSS facility

The Mission Community Services Society youth house on Second Avenue will be getting a fresh coat of paint, thanks to volunteers' efforts.

There will be 25 volunteers from Envision Financial, including Mission branch manager Carol Hamilton, working Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the youth house, located at 33179 Second Ave.

More than 175 Envision employees will trade time at the office for community work in both Mission and Abbotsford this week as part of the fifth annual Days of Caring.

MCSS provides services to the needy, including young or new parents, youth in crisis, immigrants and new citizens, seniors, those with mental illness, low-income residents, people with addiction and the homeless.

Envision Financial is B.C.'s third-largest credit union, donating $1 million to charities and causes in 2010.
