Food for Fines campaign a big success

Program at Mission Library collects items for food bank

The recent Food for Fines campaign at Mission Library collected items for the food bank in exchange for reducing patrons’ overdue fines.

The Mission Library just finished a successful Food for Fines campaign.

Usually held during the winter months, this was the first time the Fraser Valley Regional Library held the event during the summer.

Customers were able to bring in non-perishable food items to reduce their fines while supporting their community.

All food has been donated to the St. Joseph’s Food Bank in Mission.
