The Mission Hospice Society is gearing up for its premier fundraiser of the year, a gala evening with dinner, live and silent auctions and a band to dance the night away.

The Ascot Gala happens April 16 at the Best Western and two of the top prizes are a cruise for a couple on Holland-America Lines, plus an emerald and diamond ring.

Supporting the hospice is crucial to the success of ensuring staff and volunteers continue their vital work in Mission. The society provides compassionate care and support to individuals with terminal illness, their families, and the bereaved in the Christine Morrison Hospice. The hospice is a state-of-the-art hospice residence that serves Mission, Abbotsford, and surrounding communities.

Donations are being accepted for the silent auction and live auction.

Sponsorship of the evening is also welcomed, of which, there are many levels from which to choose. Tickets are $85 ($680 for a table of eight) and available by calling 604-826-2235, or for more information go to www.missionhospice.bc.ca.
