Mission Community Archives' annual ice cream social will be held May 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cedarbrooke Chateau.
There will be door prizes, a raffle for a Fraser River Safari trip for two, Claim to Frame artwork, and a $40 voucher for the Blackberry Kitchen at Fraser River Heritage Park.
Event tickets can be purchased at Murdoch's Book Shoppe on First Avenue or the Mission Community Archives on Second Avenue for $12 each.
All proceeds support the Paths and Pathfinders: Women of Mission, initiated in 1996 by archivist Val Billesberger. Through the program, the records of notable women are preserved in the archives for present and future generations to use.
