The Mission Canadian Tire store is celebrating its second annual JumpStart Day this Saturday.
The community is invited to the fundraising event which helps kids in financial need participate in sport and recreation. JumpStart Day runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a barbecue, road hockey games, bouncy castle, basketball shoot, fish pond, face painting and more.
For every $1 raised, Canadian Tire matches it with $2, and all donations stay in Mission. Since its inception in 2005, JumpStart has assisted over 500 Mission kids get involved in sports, a value of over $30,000. The Mission store is located at the Junction Mall.
