Local Heroes share knowledge

A group of Mission/Maple Ridge kids had the opportunity to take part in the Local Heroes daycamp

Big Brothers Big Sisters Fraser Valley hosted its Local Heroes daycamp in Mission last week, with help from the local RCMP and Mission Fire/Rescue Service.

The group of children were able to spend two days with Mission RCMP and two days with the fire department. Local Heroes is a daycamp were police officers and firefighters mentor the children on the waitlist for a Big Brother/Big Sister. For more information, visit mentoringworks.ca.
