Magic show at Mission Farmer's Market

Special events organized for July 12 Children's Day at the market

Children's Day is being celebrated at the Mission City Farmer's Market July 12.

The market is an opportunity to shop local, with fresh produce available every Saturday, as well as local products like honey, naturally raised meat, eggs, preserves, soaps, crafts, plants and flowers. Enjoy some authentic Mexican or Indian food as well as locally made cheese. There is also the weekly Heart of the Market feature, with displays by local community groups and organizations, live music, storytime, a craft for the kids and face painting. It’s always a great social event and a chance to meet the people who make, bake and grow our food.

Children’s Day has some special features. Come see cows at the market in the Mobile Dairy Classroom and Adopt-A-Block will have a fun craft for the kids. Don’t miss the award-winning Norden the Magician, who will be wowing the crowds at 10:15 a.m.

The Farmer’s Market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct. 11, in the Mission Library parking lot. For more information visit missioncityfarmersmarket.com.
