Mission boy honoured through Coquitlam event

A blood donation event is happening Dec. 16 to remember Graedon McNally

A blood donation event is being held in Coquitlam to honour a 14-year-old Mission boy who passed away earlier this year from cancer.

Graedon McNally had been fighting cancer most of his life. The illness had gone into remission, but he relapsed Sept. 16. Graedon delivered The Mission Record, and completed his route for the last time Sept. 22, just two days before he died, said the family.

The father, Grant, was a Member of Parliament in this area from 1997 until 2004, and is a teacher by trade. His teaching career spanned many years in Port Coquitlam and surrounding schools, and he is now educating at Cedar Drive Elementary School

The blood drive is happening Dec. 16 at Coquitlam Christian Centre, 2665 Runnel Dr., 12:15 until 6:45 p.m.

Book online at www.blood.ca or call 1-888 2 DONATE (236-6283).
