It’s time to enjoy a Mission holiday tradition.

The 35th annual Mission Candlelight Parade is set to roll out at 7:30 tonight (Dec. 6) along First Avenue.

The Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce, District of Mission and all of Santa’s elves and helpers have been busy planning for this year’s festivities. The planning has included a few new surprise additions to the parade route and a limited number of floats (with more decorations and music or they get coal in their stockings) being accepted.

The parade route is on First Avenue/ Lougheed Highway through Historic Downtown Mission. The floats travel west from the intersection at Horne Street (Petro Canada) to Park Street (McDonald’s).

Make sure you wait to see Santa at the end of the parade.
