A World Day of Prayer Service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 32420 -7th Ave. in Mission, on Friday, March 1 at 1 p.m.

The service is presented by an inter-church group of women from local congregations based in Mission, with support and coordination from the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.

The program and prayers this year, planned by women of Slovenia, invite the world to “Come to the table – everything is ready,” and to unite in prayer and pursue justice, peace and reconciliation.

The church has extended an invitation to the service, brief information on Slovenia, and refreshments following the service.
