At the start of 2020, as part of its birthday celebrations, the Mission Healthcare Auxiliary embarked on its largest fundraiser in the group’s 100 year history – $500,000 for new laboratory equipment for Mission Memorial Hospital.

Volunteers at the auxiliary wished to put the funds raised to work in such a way that will benefit as many patients as possible.

It was decided an enhancement of the hospital laboratory would do just that.

On Nov. 20 the auxiliary were able to make the first contribution to the fundraising goal. Members safely assembled at the Cottage Thrift Store to present a cheque for $100,000 to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation.
