The Mission Museum is holding its annual Kids’ Club Summer Program.

Every Friday in July and August, kids ages six to 10 can take part in fun activities all to do with Mission’s history.

This year, kids can explore the famous Mission Soapbox Derby in “Derby or Bust,” make butter and do laundry like the pioneers of Mission in “Little House on the Flats,” learn the skills of hand and machine sewing in “Quilting Bee,” recreate the story of the infamous Billy Miner and the Great Train Robbery in “Hands Up,” and write a letter with quill and ink, and seal it with wax in “Signed, Sealed and Delivered.

They can also make medicine pouches and eat traditional bannock that you made yourself in “Sto:lo, People of the River,” experience other rich cultures in “Multicultural Mission” and have some old-fashioned fun with Pioneer Games like hopscotch, kick the can and potato-sack racing.

Each session is $8, while attending all sessions is $60. They come with a free T-shirt. To register for Kids’ Club, visit missionmuseum.com/kids-club or call 604-826-1011.
