The eighth annual MissionFest takes place this Saturday, Aug. 11, with one important difference – the location.
MissionFest at the Fairgrounds runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Leisure Centre (7650 Grand St.), presented by the Mission Optimist Club.
This is the original location of the Mission Fair so it is fitting that it was chosen as an alternate site.
The free event includes bouncy castles, kids’ entertainment, a skateboard demonstration by Replay, a Celebration of Community, and the Triumph Acrobatic Arts team performance.
Admission to the pool will be free from noon to 3 p.m., sponsored by Harry Gill and the Rotary Clubs of Mission.
MissionFest also offers an opportunity to visit the Mission City Farmers’ Market.
