More than $65K raised for Zajac Ranch

Sixth annual Pirate Pak day saw 32,458 sold Aug. 14

Thousands of adults and kids enjoyed Pirate Paks last Wednesday as part of the annual fundraiser for the Zajac Ranch for Children.

A total of $65,916 was raised to send kids and youth with special needs to the camp, located on the shores of Stave Lake in northern Mission.

White Spot donated $2 from each Pirate Pak sold Aug. 14, plus donations received in lieu of the food. This is the sixth such fundraiser held across the province, and in 2013, 32,458 Pirate Paks were sold.

The funds are being used this week (Aug. 19-23) and will see kids meet new friends and participate in outdoor sports and activities, such as kayaking and horseback riding.
