In what has become a tradition in Mission, the New Year began with a cold dip into the waters of Stave Lake.
On Jan. 1, 2025, about 100 brave souls jumped into the chilly waters by the Stave Lake Boat Launch. The water temperature was reported to be six degrees Celsius, but that didn't stop people from running into the lake.
A large crowd of onlookers cheered the participants as they took the plunge.
