Today, June 21, is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Organizers invite all to stop in at the Friendship Centre on June 21 to help them honour all of the traditions and cultures of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples from all over Canada.

The event runs until 4 p.m. and features crafts, language writing, story telling, cultural history, drumming and more.
