On Monday, budding hairstylists from Riverside College in Mission will cut hair for a cause. Members of the college’s hairstylist program will host its annual Christmas Salon-a-Thon on Dec. 12 from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
Free salon services will be available to adults and chidren in exchange for donations of non-perishable food items, unwrapped toys, and gift cards for Mission Community Services’ food centre and Christmas Bureau.
The Salon-a-Thon will accept drop-ins to the Riverside Salon at 33919 Dewdney Trunk Road in Mission.
The salon offers retail services throughout the year on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00-5:30 pm, with a variety of salon services available at discounted prices.
