Seedy Saturday March 29 at the Mission City Farmers Market

The annual event features craft-making and face-painting

Planning a garden? Need some seeds?

The annual Seedy Saturday market takes place March 29 in the lobby at Heritage Park Secondary School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Seeds and plants will be available along with seasonal produce, local cheese, naturally raised meat, eggs, honey, preserves, baking, soap, crafts and much more. Pick-up a snack from the food trucks.

Bring your extra seeds or gardening books for the gardening exchange table. Purchase a 4x4 garden box donated by Fraser Valley Building Supplies and get started on your planting early.

The purchase of each box helps support the Farmers Market and gets you growing in your backyard. Bring the whole family for storytelling with the Fraser Valley Regional Library at 11 a.m., craft-making with Communities in Bloom and face-painting. Heritage Park is located at  the corner of Prentis Avenue and Stave Lake Street. For more information visit missioncityfarmersmarket.com.
