Surrey woman wins $10,000 ring from Mission’s Lanka Jewels

More than 50,000 entries in Black Press contest

A Surrey woman is the recipient of a $10,000 diamond designer ring from Lanka Jewels in Mission.

Shannon Dagneau was presented with the ring – created by designer Noam Carver – in a presentation on Tuesday.

Her name was drawn from almost 50,000 entries in the online contest hosted by Black Press and Lanka Jewels.

The contest began in July and ended on Oct. 1.

Lanka Jewels is a family-owned jewelry store in Mission that has been in business for 40 years and recently moved to a new location in The Junction Shopping Centre at 32555 London Ave.
