TEDxAbbotsford hosts virtual TED Circles

Online conversation series begins Thursday, June 25

TEDxAbbotsford is launching a series of virtual TED Circles starting on Thursday, June 25.

TED Circles is an open platform for small groups to engage in conversations about ideas.

During a circle, participants watch and discuss a TED Talk and then share takeaways to consider each other’s perspectives and create a global conversation.

“During this time of crisis, we believe it is more important than ever to continue fostering constructive discussion around ‘ideas worth spreading,’ ” says Johann Roduit, co-founder of TEDxAbbotsford.

“Our local and global communities need a place where we can listen to each other and build bridges.”

The first circle takes place from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, with the theme of “resilience.” The series continues at the same time on Thursday, July 30 with the theme “Designing with Humanity” and on Thursday, Sept. 24 with the theme “World of Wonder.”

Registration is free at tedxabbotsford.com and is required to receive the Zoom video conferencing link. Limited spots are available.
