VIDEO: Breakfast with Santa helps those in need

Participants were asked to bring toys, cash or gift cards

There was even snow, generated by a machine for kids to play in.

Langley Christmas Bureau's Christmas Wish Breakfast returned, with crowds filling Newlands Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, beginning at 6:30 a.m.

It included a complimentary breakfast, entertainment by local singers and musicians, and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus to support families and children in need.

Participants were asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy, cash donation, or gift card to help make Christmas a reality for them.

“The Christmas Wish Breakfast beautifully illustrates how our community can unite to create positive change,” said Patty Lester, Langley Christmas Bureau coordinator. “We invite everyone to join us in spreading holiday cheer and supporting local families in need. Together, we can create lasting memories and brighten the season for many.”

Langley Christmas Bureau runs from Nov. 1 to shortly before Christmas. The all-volunteer organization will operate out of a new location this year, 20245 Industrial Ave. The bureau provides Christmas toys, gifts, and more to children from birth to age 18 in local needy families. Registrations are open for the 2024 holiday season and the criteria for receiving support is on the bureau website at langleychristmasbureau.com.
