On Saturday (Oct. 2) the parking lot at the Mission Leisure Centre became a community canvas as the Chalk It Up For Culture Days took place.

This community chalk art event – with the theme I Love Mission – attracted a large crowd and was free to participate in. Budding artists were invited to make an individual creation or work on a collaborative piece.

Professional chalk artist, Martin Hayes was on hand to create and assist with the collaborative creation.

Culture Days is on now and runs until Oct. 24.
