Zajac Ranch is launching a year-end fundraising drive for youth with complex medical conditions and illnesses to attend summer camp.
According to a news release, Zajac Ranch aims to raise $10,000 on “Giving Tuesday” on Dec. 3. The funds would go towards purchasing new and updated medical equipment to improve operations. The year-end goal is set for $100,000 to support sending children to camp.
"Why are we launching this initiative? The answer is simple: every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, friendship, and personal growth that summer camp provides,” ranch president Carmen Zajac said.
All money will go towards supporting the 24-hour OK Corral Medical Centre and the Campership Allowance Program.
“With rising costs and an increased need for medical resources in our camp, the Give the Gift of Camp fundraising drive will ensure that campers' health and safety remain a top priority. Additionally, the funds raised will provide camperships, allowing families in need to send their children to camp, regardless of financial constraints,” the news release reads.
"Contributions to the "Give the Gift of Camp" initiative will make a significant difference in the lives of countless children during their formative years. The impact of camp goes beyond just a fun summer."
