An evening of blues music at Mission’s Clarke Theatre

Kal David, Lauri Bono and Angel Forrest will present a great evening of music on Sept. 24.

If you love blues music then make sure you are at the Clarke Theatre in Mission tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 24) night.

Kal David, Lauri Bono and the Real Deal, along with Angel Forrest, are set to take to the stage.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

David, the Chicago blues legend, and his musical and life partner Bono have performed and recorded with the who’s who in the music industry.

David’s experience includes his early roots with Peter Cetera of Chicago fame all the way to playing with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers.

Bono was a “Harlette” with Bette Midler and then the two together in long stints with the amazing Etta James and Johnny Rivers.

They have also worked with BB King, Stevie Wonder, the Allman Brothers and more

Also appearing is Angel Forrest, who has enjoyed a career spanning 27 years and nine albums.

Forrest released her new album, Angel’s 11, in March of this year.

This project demonstrates the friendship shared between Forrest and the 11 guitarists who are featured on this new album.
