The Mission Arts Council is presenting local artist Jenna Tazzy Stuart with a collection of her works this month.
Stuart works in various mediums, which are on display in her exhibition, “Carnival of Temptations.”
The show features a journey through her process, from drawings and watercolours, to oil and sculpture.
Stuart is a retired school teacher who is pursuing what she loves in her art.
She is inspired by the “abundance of nature around her, including the quirky little worlds of the minutia of a leaf vein, the dance of petals, the gills under a mushroom cap, or a dormant insect’s transformation miracle.”
Stuart says she finds herself nurtured by her artistic inquiries as she continues to explore the astonishing gift of life.
“Carnival of Temptations” is on now in the Rock Family Gallery at the Mission Arts Centre, and runs until Nov. 27. Gallery hours are Tuesdays to Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
