Mission’s Clarke Theatre is expected to be filled with laughter this weekend.
Jokers Canada is debuting the Mission Comedy Classic on Saturday (Nov. 16) with a lineup of Canada’s best pro comics.
The show is slated for 7:30 p.m. and will feature Patrick Maliha, Syd Bosel, Myles Anderson, Jokers Canada founder Aaron Arya and more.
Arya says attendees can expect a range of styles and subject matters.
“I think the audience will be extremely happy,” Arya said. “We've worked with these comedians many times, and they've always delivered. So typically, when we go to the city for the first time, we like to bring the sure things and make sure that everything goes well. We're pretty confident about this lineup."
Jokers Canada was founded by Arya as a passion project during the pandemic.
“People just needed to laugh. Life was pretty heavy. So I started this organization and … over time, I realized there was a demand to bring comedy to places that don't necessarily get it often,” Arya said.
Arya has been encouraged by previous shows in the Tri-Cities and Maple Ridge and is excited about performing at the Clarke Theatre.
“The staff at the Clarke Theatre has been so great to work with,” he said.
Doors open for the event at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at eventbrite.ca
