Kenny Hess and music fest preview are on at the Fraser River Heritage Park

Local performers play as part of Envision Twilight concert series

The Envision Twilight Concert Series continues on Friday, July 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. as Kenny Hess performs in Fraser River Heritage Park.

Local favourite Hess has been performing his entire life, beginning in his music-filled home as a small child. In the decades since he began to tour at age 15, he has honed his skills performing both country favourites and original songs. After 14 albums and countless awards, he still tours as both a headliner and an opening act for many of the great names of country music.

The third Full Cupboard of the season happens Friday. Concert goers can donate to the program by bringing a non-perishable food item or cash donation, and all donations benefit St. Joseph’s food bank.

The Full Cupboard is an innovative community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Kitimat. Through this program, Envision Financial has committed to raising at least $1 million for local food banks over the next 10 years.

On Wednesday July 24, the Mission Folk Music Festival Preview will return from 7 to 8 p.m., giving the audience a taste of what will be on offer at the 26th annual festival, including a performance by the Mission Folk Music Festival Music Camp.

Admission to the concerts is free, but donations to this community-based series are encouraged.
