Mission Senior Secondary is presenting its annual spring Shakespearian production starting next week.

This year, the local school is taking on The Taming of the Shrew, one of the Bard’s first comedies.

In a clever way, Shrew teaches the audience about the problems of unfair social attitudes and what it means to be pressured to conform to someone’s expectations.

It’s all about relationships, love, languages and how we attempt to woo the ones we love. This is the ultimate “it’s complicated” play.

The show runs from April 25-27 and May 2-4. All shows are at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) and tickets are $5. Tickets are available by reservation at 604-826-7191 or at the door contingent on availability.
