Mission tenor, Dustin Lee Hiles, plans to kick start his post-pandemic singing career this fall after having been invited by the Montserrat Caballé Foundation to participate in a week of Masterclasses with the legendary Jose Carreras of the “The Three Tenors” in Barcelona, Spain, this September.
Hiles plans on returning to his career in classical music after several years of political work, volunteering in India, and an unsuccessful run for Mayor of Mission.
Since 2010, Dustin spent three years studying with Montserrat Caballé and has performed with the Canadian Opera Company, Vancouver Opera, Seattle Opera, and before Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III.
He recently sang at an event, June 12, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in attendance.
Hiles will travel to Spain, in September, and audition for agents in Europe, as he sets the foundations to relaunch his career under the guidance of one of the greatest singers of the 20th century, Jose Carrerars.
