Do you know a Mission artist that deserves recognition for their talents and effort? Then why not nominate them for a special award?
The Celebration of the Arts Awards is an acknowledgment of individuals or groups that make the community vibrant with music, performing, visual, and literary arts as well as those that support, mentor and advocate for the arts and artists.
This awards ceremony is held every two years with the next one coming up in September, 2022.
You can help celebrate Mission artists. The City of Mission Cultural Resources Commission in partnership with the Mission Arts Council is accepting nominations right now. But you have to act fast as the nomination period ends on June 1.
Who would you like to celebrate this year? The public can nominate in one or all categories and use additional forms as necessary.
Artists and groups may self-nominate. All nominees must have lived within the City of Mission for at least 12 months prior to nomination.
Award categories include:
- Individual
- Emerging Artist (19+)
- Youth Artist (13-18)
- Arts Advocates
- Lifetime Achievement
Award winners will be recognized at the Celebration of the Arts event on September 23, 2022, at Best Western Mission City Lodge Ballroom.
