On Friday, Aug. 24, the Whiskeyjays make their Twilight debut at Fraser River Heritage Park.

The Envision Financial Twilight Concert Series has only two concerts remaining in the summer season.

On Friday, Aug. 24, the Whiskeyjays make their Twilight debut at Fraser River Heritage Park.

The Whiskeyjays are a five-piece guitar band hailing from Langley. Born and raised between the city and country, these boys bring a Western flare to good old rock ’n’ roll.

Stephan and Luc met at the age of 14, and grew up immersed in the music of Wilco, Springsteen, Adams, and other classic rock and alt-country influences. They met Vince, Tom, and Steve along the way and shared a love of great music, jamming and songwriting. They are making a name for themselves through the Fraser Valley and beyond.

Wednesday, Aug. 29 marks the last concert of the season as well as the Envision Night of Thanks and the final Full Cupboard evening.

To end the season with a bang, the Big Easy Funk Ensemble (BEFE) hits the stage. This band celebrates the amazing variety of music that has grown out of New Orleans.

The group is influenced by ’60s funk legends The Meters and Dr. John to more recent groups like Galactic and Trombone Shorty.

BEFE (pronounced beefy) is a nine-member band. It includes a three–piece horn section composed of Andrew Benton (saxophone), Kevin Tang (trombone) and Ryan Naso (trumpet). The rhythm section includes Reece Worth on guitar, Eric Stephenson on bass, Tyler Gibson on keyboards/organ, Ryan Davis on drums, Jeffrey Kornblum on percussion and Chris Berry on vocals.

BEFE is busy performing at many events and establishments. It is a perfect way to end the season.
