Mission’s Opening Nite Theatre Society (ONTS) will be holding auditions for its next production, How It Works.

Auditions will take place Jan. 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the ONTS theatre, located at 33223 Railway Ave. in Mission.

The play will run Thursday to Sundays from May 4 to 21.

Performers required include two women able to play the part of characters in their late 30s to late 40s, one woman able to play a 19-year-old character, and one man able to play a character in his late 30s to late 40s.

The play How It Works, written by Daniel MacIvor, introduces the audience to four unforgettable people: Al, his ex-wife Donna, his new partner Christine, and his troubled daughter Brooke.

Weaving past and present, the play illuminates these four lives as they come to terms with their own stories.

Additional performance dates, for the Fraser Valley Zone Festival – taking place in White Rock, from May 21 to 27 – will be announced at a later date.

Auditions will consist of cold reading from the script. Cast members will be required to join ONTS and also Theatre BC.
