Send in nominations for Muse awards

Nominate a local artist, or yourself, for a Muse award

Recognize your favourite artist, or yourself, for this year’s Muse Awards. Arts and cultural supporters will also be recognized.

These awards are given out by the Mission Cultural Resources Commission which helps promote arts and culture in the community.

The categories for this years awards are:


• Individual

1. Music

2. Visual arts

3. Performing arts

4. Literary arts


• Emerging Artist

1. Music

2. Visual arts

3. Performing arts

4. Literary arts


• Arts Advocate

1. Business

2. Organization

3. Individual

4. Educator


Nominees must have lived in Mission for at least 12 months, except for arts advocates and emerging artists.

CRC member Kat Wahamaa encouraged artists not to be shy and  to share their work with their fans.

The deadline for nominations is March 23.

The Muse Awards will be given out during Arts and Culture week on April 23 at Eighteen Pastures Golf Course.

The awards ceremony is a free event and open to the public. There will be entertainment, some snacks, and a no-host bar. It’s a great way to connect with those in the arts community, added Wahamaa.
