Man taken to hospital after Wednesday night stabbing in Surrey

3 suspects arrested: Surrey Police Service

One man is in serious but stable condition after he was stabbed in Surrey Wednesday night.

Surrey Police Service are investigating the incident, which occurred Wednesday (March 26) around 6:30 p.m. in Newton, in the 7300-block of 128 Street.

Once on scene, officers located a male adult suffering from a stab wound, an SPS release said.

The man was treated by Surrey Fire Service and BC Emergency Health Service crews, and was transported to a local area hospital in serious but stable condition, the release noted.

SPS officers located and arrested three suspects. They are currently being held pending further investigation.

Members of SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) have assumed conduct of the investigation.

"While early in the investigation and motive remains under investigation, police do not believe the incident is random in nature and there are no outstanding suspects," the release said.
