Mission's Jillian Barden and Jaylene Matthews believe it’s important to create a litter-free environment and easy when you see all the different ways you can contribute to keeping it clean.
These young women wrote and performed a song entitled, “This World is Ours” to inspire others to pitch-in cleaning up our world. The video was submitted as an entry to Adopt-A-Block’s 2011 Youth Video Contest challenging youth to get active in litter control, to have their say, and positively influence their peers.
The society encourages community members to check out this shining example of Mission’s youth and to spread the word. The video is available at www.missionadoptablock.com.
