The pipers are coming.

The Simon Fraser University Pipe Band is on its way to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Saturday, Feb. 29. The six-time world champion band will play songs of the highlands, clad in traditional Scottish bagpiper regalia in a celebration of culture, music and heritage.

The SFU Pipe Band first formed in 1966 and became the first band outside the United Kingdom to win the World Pipe Band Championships more than once and is the first pipe band to perform at Carnegie Hall. They have also performed at Highland games events across North America.
