A driver was issued multiple tickets after what RCMP called a road rage incident in Mission last Saturday (Oct. 26).

Mission RCMP say the incident caught the attention of multiple witnesses around 12:30 p.m. at a Lougheed Highway gas station near Dewdney Trunk Road.

According to a news release, a Dodge Journey passed a green Honda Accord on Stave Lake Road.  Afterwards, the Accord allegedly followed the Journey closely to the gas station. The Journey driver left the vehicle and approached the Accord driver.

Police say the Accord pulled out, nearly struck the Journey driver, and side-swiped the other vehicle  RCMP spoke with both drivers and issued tickets to the Accord driver for his actions.

"Police remind anyone involved in a road rage incident not to engage with the other driver.  Either just drive away, or call police," RCMP said.
