A 65-year-old man living in a houseboat just south of Mission on the Fraser River has gone missing.
Mission RCMP are asking for the public's help finding Kenneth Sookocheff, who was last seen around Oct. 20 and reported missing on Oct. 27.
According to a news release, a red kayak and lifejacket Sookocheff kept on shore are also missing. Police say it's unknown if Sookocheff used the kayak and lifejacket recently or it was taken by someone else.
Mission Search and Rescue didn't find any sign of Sookocheff or the kayak in a shoreline search.
Sookocheff is described as a 5'8 Caucasian man with grey hair and blue eyes. He usually wears glasses and sometimes gumboots, police say.
