Mission RCMP returned a stolen dog to its owner after investigating a disturbance on Monday (May 5).

Mission RCMP returned a stolen dog to its owner last week.

The detachment said it received a request to retrieve a stolen dog from a Cedar Street residence last Sunday (May 4). Police say the dog was stolen from a Kamloops residence.

“Officers were unable to make contact with anyone that day, but responded to a disturbance file the following day, involving the dog-theft suspect,” Mission RCMP said.

The pup was found and police arrested the man for possession of stolen property

Mounties say the dog was removed by police and returned to its rightful owners later in the day.
