Mission's Ann Mohs took home six medals at the International Va’a Federation (IVF) World Sprint Championships in Hawaii last month.
The outrigger has been racing canoes for almost a decade and participated in the IVF World Championships for the first time in 2016.
This year in Hilo, Hawai'i, her two Team Canada crews took two golds, two silvers and a bronze, while Mohs added another silver in her 70+ Elite V1 race against 24 other racers.
The championships ran from Aug. 13 to 23 with 2,885 paddlers young and old representing 27 nations. A total of 495 races took place with Canada ranked 4th place overall.
Mohs previously won gold at her first-ever V1 World competition at Dorney Lake, GB, finishing her 75+ Elite V1 500m Sprint race 29 seconds ahead of second place.
