In Harrison Ridge, bright and spacious 3- to 4-bedroom West Coast homes are designed for family living, and offer views to the Fraser River and Woodside Mountain.

After reaching record highs in early May, skyrocketing lumber prices have come back down to earth in recent weeks – and that’s good news for anyone keen to move their family to one of the Fraser Valley’s most-anticipated communities.

Committed to maintaining the affordability of Harrison Ridge, where only a few townhomes remain available from Phase 3, developer Soon Kim opted to pause sales until the volatile market stabilized, rather than passing along climbing costs to homebuyers.

Today, the team is now excited to announce the Phase 4 launch, coming in September, with construction on track with their planned timelines, says marketing manager Daniel Kim.

With the first three phases selling quickly to a welcome mix of first-time buyers, growing families and empty-nesters, interest remains high in this master planned community, perfectly positioned in the natural setting of Agassiz’s Harrison Highlands, but within easy access of urban amenities.

The bright and spacious 3- to 4-bedroom West Coast homes are designed for family living, with walkout basements, large decks, vaulted top-floor ceilings and expansive windows with views to the Fraser River and Woodside Mountain. Other thoughtful details include providing two parking spots per home, and built-in capacity to add future aging-in-place features in some homes, like an elevator or main-floor master suite.

Thoughtful amenities offer added value

For homebuyers, the late spring pause in sales brought a second unexpected benefit. Coinciding with the recent heat wave, the hot temperatures prompted buyers and the development team to explore the option of adding a dual heat pump with air conditioning to the Harrison Ridge homes.

Beyond home comfort, heat pumps are also extremely efficient, so can offer considerable environmental benefits and cost savings for your heating and cooling bills.

Both measures speak to the responsiveness of the development team throughout the design and construction process – finding creative solutions to create a sought-after community people are excited to call home while also keeping it accessible for homebuyers, including many younger families.

Another such solution is the playground scheduled for completion in the next few weeks. While built by Harrison Ridge, the park will be given to the municipality for the entire community to enjoy. With the town also taking over park maintenance, the move helps keep residents’ strata fees low – averaging only about $100 per month – while providing amenities they’re looking for in a location they love.

A few remaining units are available in Phase 3, which includes a variety of townhome configurations. To learn more, visit online or register to stay-up-to-date with the latest Harrison Ridge offerings, including Phase 4 – coming soon!.
