Connect with the local employers and educational institutions that can help you realize your career goals at the Abbotsford Hiring & Post-Secondary Education Expo May 8!
Hosted by Black Press Events from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Abbotsford Curling Club and Event Centre, the expo aims to bridge the gap between individuals seeking career advancement and organizations looking for fresh talent.
“Our goal is to create a platform where attendees can explore diverse career and educational opportunities under one roof,” says Amanda Perley, Events Manager at Black Press Media.
Diverse opportunities await
The event will have a wide array of exhibitors, including prominent employers such as BC Corrections, the Canadian Armed Forces and the City of Abbotsford. Educational institutions like Discovery Community College, Langara College and Trinity Western University will also be present, offering insights into various programs and courses.
“Whether you're seeking immediate employment or you're considering further education, the expo provides resources to support your journey,” Perley notes.
Engage directly with industry leaders
Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with representatives from various sectors, gaining firsthand information about job openings, career paths and educational programs. “Face-to-face conversations with potential employers and educators can provide clarity and direction that online searches often lack,” adds Perley.
“Bring multiple copies of your resume, dress professionally and have a clear idea of the industries or roles you're interested in.”
