Abbotsford man pleads guilty to two of 11 child pornography charges

An Abbotsford man has pleaded guilty to two of the 11 child pornography offences with which he had been charged in November 2014.

Christopher Jason Sieber, 45, pleaded guilty in Abbotsford provincial court earlier this month to possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

He is next scheduled to appear in court, possibly for a sentencing hearing, on Jan. 30.

Sieber was charged after a year-long investigation that resulted in Abbotsford Police executing a search warrant at his home and seizing several items, including computers and data storage devices.

In addition to the two offences to which he pleaded guilty, he was charged with nine counts of distributing child pornography. Those charges are expected to be stayed at sentencing.
