Incumbent Mission Mayor Ted Adlem is trailing former MLA Randy Hawes by more than 350 votes as voting counts have come in. Hatzic's polling station was the first to report totals, and votes cast there only extended a lead Hawes established with advance voters.
"Early results are not that great, but we'll wait," said Adlem, who is watching polls come in at Boston Pizza alongside the rest of his CRMG slate.
