Canadian rocker Burton Cummings will be bringing his In Your Backyard tour to Mission in March 2015.

There is no way to "Break it to them gently" when it comes to Burton Cummings.

The popular Canadian rock star is bringing his In Your Backyard Tour to Mission next year.

Mission will be one of eight stops for Burton as he tours B.C. in March 2015. Cummings will begin the concerts in Victoria on March 8, then travel to Duncan, Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops, Vernon, and Powell River before making his last stop in Mission on March 18.

Cummings, who was born and raised in Winnipeg, is a multiple Juno Award winner and the recipient of the Order of Canada. He is also a member of the Canadian Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, Prairie Music Hall of Fame.

He is best known for international hits like Stand Tall, These Eyes, Laughing, Take One Away, and I Will Play a Rhapsody.

Cummings began be career in music with the Guess Who in the mid-1960s and became a solo act in 1975. He has put out 12 albums and continues entertain fans around the world.
