About 120 people came out to take part in the Terry Fox Run on Sunday at Fraser River Heritage Park.

Despite heavy rain and wind, 120 willing participants turned out for the 35th annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday morning at Fraser River Heritage Park.

The Mission event raised approximately $4,000 for cancer research.

“It was an excellent turnout,” said event organizer Simone Redburn.

“I think it is one of the better turnouts we’ve had,” she said.

Redburn has a long history of taking part, having never missed a run since they began. However, this is the first time she’s organized the event.

“I think it went well overall and I’m looking forward to doing it again.”
